WOOFF charity fashion show photography
ARA (Animal Rescue Algarve) does amazing work in the Algarve region. Founded in 2017 their prime objective is caring for and subsequently rehoming stray, abandoned and distressed dogs and cats. This noble cause obviously costs a lot of money, so next to donations the founders of ARA have started WOOFF shops in Almancil and Loule. WOOFF stands for “Worn Only Once Fashion & Furniture”, they offer second hand but quality clothing and furniture received from donations.
To highlight the incredible charity work that ARA is doing in the Algarve and generate some extra funding, WOOFF organised a fashion show, showcasing the current fashion in stock worn by WOOFF volunteers. The chosen location was a beautiful private villa nestled amongst the golf courses of Quinta do Lago in the Algarve. I was honoured to help out and photograph the day with my camera to ensure that great images were created and that these could be used for online marketing.
Dog photography
Photography of dogs can be challenging, often you need to work with snacks or toys to get and keep their attention. But the shelter dogs of ARA were on their best behaviour and the true stars of the show and this made the photography of the dogs a breeze. It turned out to be a fantastic day with happy faces and snouts all around, and significant funds were raised for this great charity cause!
